Btw this mod works beautifully with flathub version of LibreQuake which includes Ironwail. You put the mod directory in ~/.var/app/io.github.lavenderdotpet.LibreQuake/data/ and then you can select the mod from the main menu, don't need to think about anything else and don't need to own Quake.
