Let's be honest: with RAM prices so crazy, it's almost impossible to manufacture this unit at a profit. And if SSD prices start to rise too, it could have serious consequences, even leading to the postponement of the Steam Machine. But I don't want to paint a bleak picture.
In any case, Valve would be better off using its RAM reservation for the Steam Machine and the Frame rather than for the now outdated LCD Steam Deck.
