Hey folks! I'm the director of Schrodinger's Cat Burglar. Thank you for featuring out game!
Just a quick note concerning the Key Art - it is most certainly human painted, not AI. The artist in question is Tom Williams - https://www.instagram.com/tomwilliams_art [External Link] - he painted it back in 2022 when we first appeared at PAX Australia. We've had a few comments from people who are not keen on games using Generative AI.
I fully agree! We aren't using Gen AI at all, and we will never. I appreciate that people are concerned on this issue because they are defending the rights of real artists against what essentially is automated plagiarism.
We are in the process of updating our key art, and the new piece (again, by Tom) will likely be in a more 'comic book' style (similar to the prologue video in the demo). Hopefully this will put people's fears of Gen AI to rest.
Again, thanks for taking an interest in our game :)
