French indie studio Accidental Queens are closing and delisting their games from Steam

If they're closing their studio it will be likely an income and tax situation, if they kept selling the game someone would have to continue doing all the taxes and general admin on behalf of anyone involved.

Quoting: Cley_FayeIs that a new info box at the bottom of posts? Nice.
Not new exactly, but the visual style was recently tweaked to look a lot nicer.

Quoting: Liam DaweThis is normal stuff for us. There is nothing odd about it. This is what we do.
That's totally fine. But I will keep finding it odd.
I'm just at a loss as to what is "odd" about it. The entire purpose of the website is to highlight gaming on Linux, working or not.

Quoting: Liam DaweWhat's odd about it?
It's an article informing readers about a title that could be the next big popular multiplayer game, and how it will likely not work.
Again, it's my job to inform people about gaming on Linux. That is why we exist. That includes times where a potentially massive game will not work. For all the people reading, emailing, searching on Google and asking about it across social media and everywhere else. This is normal stuff for us. There is nothing odd about it. This is what we do.

I have fond memories of the audio just being really creepy when playing it on Amiga. The atmosphere was unmatched.

EndeavourOS Linux gets an upgraded release with Ganymede Neo

Quoting: geckofish52Forgive my ignorance, but my understanding is that unlike Manjaro, which lumps Arch updates into point releases, Endeavour is basically an Arch installer. So what constitutes a new "release"?
When they put out a new ISO download, with all the latest bits along with a few of their tweaks.

Quoting: CorbenIs known how they are putting these games on the store? I'm wondering how it will be labeled, as just "VR" won't be enough anymore. Right now we have (mostly) Windows games that just run on Linux and Steam Deck (if not too demanding, but techically they run). On Linux PC (i.e. x86, amd64 etc.). When VR games are compiled for arm though, will they run on PC too?
Will they create a seperate store/category for arm steam frame VR games?
Will PC VR gamers running HTC Vive, Valve Index etc. be able to play these games too or will they miss out? Is this was Lepton is aiming for, but only for Linux users? Don't get me wrong, the more Linux the better, yet VR is a niche, and if Windows VR gamers would not be able to play those games too, it's a loss.
They might have the restriction that ARM games must be able to run on X86, too, just like there is (AFAIK) a restriction that any Linux native game must be available for Windows, too.
That restriction as far as I am aware does not exist. We've seen Linux-only releases on Steam, and we've also seen Linux+Mac only releases.
I have seen a developer complaining that they're not allowed to do it, and I've never seen someone doing it. Do you have an example?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/594550/Arma_Cold_War_Assault_MacLinux/ [External Link] - Mac and Linux only.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3715960/MacInVR/ [External Link] - advertises Mac only (not out yet).

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2507880/Sunbeam/ [External Link] - Mac only.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1065900/Celtreos/ [External Link] - Mac only.

There was an indie game patchman that originally only launched for Linux too.

We all live in our own bubbles. I thought people didn't really care either, until more people in my own life starting talking about how they're using it. Plenty of them just switching off when I mentioned the dangers of blindly trusting things like ChatGPT.
