People still pre-order games?
That's quite a shame tbh to give money without having a product for couple of months. You will not be able to refund then afaik.

Personally i dont care about this game but it really sucks for people who liked/still like it.
Hopefully Community can create private server if nothing comes out of the Rust developers offer.
at least theres 1 year to collect the data for the community to come up with the solution.

Amazing game. 100 hours played now. Still enjoying it.
About the AI things.. Personally i don't care if its done in a way it doesn't annoy me. I didnt even know voices were made with that, but there hardly are any voiceactors anyway in this game. Just Few mission messages and couple of cinematics.

edit:
If their AI tools help the team of their size make a fun game of this calibre then i dont really have much to complain.
Compared to companies that trying to milk the most out of their players with sloppy AI art

The best Linux distributions for gaming in 2026

Best distro for gaming is whatever works for the individual and what systems he values more than others.

I personally don't see the reason to switch to "hype" distros. I also hate reinstalls, so i keep rolling with my 2013 install. Ofc i have been a linux user since 2007, so i have way more experience than someone who recently switched or planning to switch.

$ grep -a -m1 filesystem /var/log/pacman.log
[2013-01-21 17:45] installed filesystem (2012.12-1)

That being said, I honestly don't know what to suggest to new users these days.
We are in a mess of wayland transition also. Lots of edge cases where things are buggy on wayland when it comes to gaming and at the same time x11 has its own quirks. So we basically have 2 "broken" systems.

My list.

Game of the Year: Kingdom Come Deliverance II
Most Innovative Gameplay: ARC Raiders
Labor of Love: Witchfire (Though its still in Early Access)
Best Soundtrack: Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon

Haven't really played much new releases in 2025. Too much of backlog to play.

Jump Space and Deadzone:Rogue are in my wishlist, so probably will get around to play them this year.

Quoting: vic-bayi can't agree with arc raiders victory in the innovations category, because there were zero innovations in the game. to be honest i doubt there can be significant innovations in video games in general. in the last 30-40 years almost every possible idea has been already tried. not every possible combination of ideas, but combining existing ideas is not innovation. everything else looks okay, at least people voted for it.
But there is. The innovation is the NPC AI. They adapt and learn how to get to you. They adapt if they have broken propellers etc. Now i'm sure there have been games trying to do that before, but in a multiplayer setting i think its the first in this area.

ARC Raiders and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 are both amazing games released this year

I would also include Witchfire Early Access, but it looks that one came out late last year.

Quoting: fabertaweOne other thing, I actually think this game is better played through Proton than Windows native, from reading the "discussions". The amount of "issues" Windows users have is bewildering 😆
Yeah i completed the game back in launch (105 hours) or within few months of release with zero stability issues. Few quest bugs, animation jankyness only. But reading all the troubles people seem have had with this game, seems like its very solid on linux indeed. I guess people have different hardware/software, so everyone could have different experience but i really cant complain

Hopefully they can improve the performance a bit more with the patches in the future.

Quoting: GerarderloperI'm just holding out until the NVIDIA driver fix because this is one of the WORST affected by the NVIDIA DX12 performance issues. We talking %37 performance drop compared to windows. So if you got 100fps in windows you get 63fps under Linux, its pretty bad!
Strange.. is it affecting only 4000 series?
i seem to get very similar perf (within ~5%) to windows with my aging 5800X3D and RTX 3080, by checking people on youtube benchmarking it with the same hardware and ofc same game update.
590.44.01 drivers...allthough i seem to be CPU bottlenecked in many places where GPU utilization is not even near 100%. But seems on line what people get on windows still.

Quoting: rammaWhy's it a waste of space? Are you getting two title bars?
no i don't. Its waste of space to have the channel name and things up there on top toghether with min, max, close.
Before they added that, it was just starting from where the searchbar is. So i could toggle my WM titlebar off and It was fine. now i cant disable the discords own titlebar.
