This will be great for all the people who end up with buyer's remorse after getting this "Xbox" that will gradually begin to inject Copilot into every aspect of it once they've lured in their victims. :grin:

I don't know why so many companies think this is an actual selling point and worth advertising. It's like proudly announcing that you're now a "sweatshops first" company.

This is good especially considering Microsoft sent their "Xbox" handheld out to every content creator with even a small following.They're undoubtedly hoping influencers will do a lot of the promotion work for them.

but i still think microsoft is dumb for not puting an killer price like 100USD.

Microsoft said ASUS set the price. After all, despite the Xbox branding, it's still an ASUS product.

Anyway, I don't think the "play everything" claim is as much of a flex as they think it is. Yes, there are some people who really want to play fortnite on a handheld, but realistically, anyone serious about online competitive gaming has an expensive mouse and keyboard, a high-refresh rate monitor, etc. Casual folks love the Steam Deck, and I don't think that's going to change for a more expensive handheld that still has Windows on it, despite the Xbox branding.

Normally, there are multiple comments that repeat the same criticisms, but every comment on here is unique and true. lol The crazy part is that Microsoft will still make millions from this, simply from brand recognition alone. I don't think we have to be too worried about that.

My real concern is that Microsoft seems to be testing the antitrust waters again to see how much illegal, anti-competitive stuff they can get away with, especially with more hyper-capitalist governments popping up around the world. I worry someone at Microsoft might try to find a way to lock PC gamers into their ecosystem without fear of being targeted as a monopoly. I don't think PC gamers will go for it though, so it might actually backfire and bring more of them to Linux.

They had a native Linux version of the first Divinity: Original Sin, so I guess it's good to know they still know how to do it. Hopefully, we'll someday get to the point where it's the norm rather than an afterthought.

It's easy to dismiss this and say, "Oh, I'll just use another browser." I'm writing this on LibreWolf at this moment. The problem is that so much of the Web is now centered around Chrome, and Google is dictating the architecture of the Web more than W3C or anyone else. The real danger is that websites might fundamentally change right along with Chrome and force you to use AI features for basic functionality.

It's funny because people weren't asking for a free-to-play, online Skate game. They wanted Skate 4, and the fact that they keep announcing that Linux and Steam Deck aren't supported also shows enough people are asking for Linux support for them to notice.

I should be shocked that it took them so long, but I'm not. Also, it'll be interesting to see what "full support" really means. So much happens behind the scenes. I wonder if Valve played any part in this, especially with all their new rumored hardware on the horizon.
