Quoting: RoosterOn topic: Was Stallmans former exclusion from FSF really stated to be only because he refused to use "correct" pronoun for trans people or was this just the one highlighted from many other issues? The latter. There are a lot of articles about it from when he resigned from the FSF board and MIT. At best he seems socially awkward and that's really not a quality you want from someone that is the face of a movement. I agree that this comments section should be closed, as I simply cannot see how this will not end up in a flame war

Quoting: RedjeThey used to release an collection with all DLCs for 50 euro of so with an game end of life like CK2.A lot of people seem to not have seen this. PDX used to sell EOL games with all the DLC as a bundle. They could have released all the CK2 DLC as bundle or in a few thematic bundles instead of this, like they did in the past. To me this looks like a test run to offer subscriptions for all their games
Another subscription...., no thank you!

Quoting: KeyrockIs it still a horrifically buggy mess with major balancing issues?I didn't really encounter any major bugs, but the balancing felt way off to me when I played it in the spring. The game seems optimized with man-maxing in mind as far as I can tell.
Quoting: ExpalphalogWhat are the balancing issues? If you mean are some player character builds way more powerful than others, then yes that still exists but it also should exist because that's an artifact of Pathfinder itself and a holdover from classic pen and paper RPGs.I don't agree. Several encounters are extremelly hard if you don't have specific skills in the party from what I remember. In fact I remember using a mod to enable some skills temporarily just to progress further. What makes this worse is that I don't remember the game giving you any clues that you'll need these abilities beforehand.
Total War Saga: TROY is now a 12 month Epic Games Store exclusive

Quoting: amataiSega/Creative Assembly is a studio that help make steam what it is now by making mandatory for people wanting to play Total War to install and launch steam. Their community is part of the steam community because people were not allowed to play their games outside of steam. That is what Epic is buying with their very generous offer (Epic is buying copies of Total War Troy to everyone who claim it on August 13, that far more money that this game would have made in its whole life. Total War Saga are considered far inferior as the main games and the period did not interest much people). The big difference here is Steam never had exclusivity deals. The reason many devs went Steam exclusive is because either they didn't want to implement alternatives to tools Valve provided them or because they deemed the other stores too small a market. Creating a walled garden and then claiming you do it to foster competition is clearly contradictory(and a lie).
Don't think people will leave steam for that game through. I will still try to wineclaim the game because I prefer money in CA's coffer than Tecent's.

Quoting: Whitewolfe80Netflix has actually continued the show. It just released the 4th season/series of the showI'm a huge fan of the setting! I somewhat recently blitzed through the Vikings TV series and so this news has me personally quite pumped-up and excited. You should check out The Last Kingdom, if you haven't already. I felt Vikings significantly dropped in quality after the first couple of Seasons. You mean after the ragnar saga ended yeah it did and yes the last kingdom literally the only decent thing the bbc have made in years it is a shame they ended it with such a whimper

I'm hoping the Assassins backstory is minimal once again. It's become really uninteresting to me. I really hope Epic runs out of their throwaway funds soon. These exclusives are really starting to become annoying

They did cover this period in the first games AC1-AC2(plus standalone expansions) and they're also the most coherent games story wise. It just gets messy after that.
That scale mail that acted more like full plate armor on the Saxon warrior seemed also quite implausible to me
Quoting: rustybroomhandleThat one takes place in Ancient Egypt, the Hashishins existed in the Medieval periodQuoting: Purple Library Guyoriginal Middle East HashishinThey did that one with AC Origins.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyIncidentally, those axes the guy is implausibly double-wielding instead of using a shield like a sensible Viking, are weird looking and probably less effective than the narrow-bladed axes people really used which would penetrate armour far better. At least he doesn't have a horned helmet. Sure, he's a moron for going bareheaded, but let's say he's berserk.

The issue with BT is most likely that they switched engine from Unity to UE for that one, making porting the game more complicated. What engine do they use for W3?
