Gave the demo a try with DCS World non steam edition. The setup for non steam game is not clearly documented but you basically just need to give the proton directory path and the prefix path and it should just work.
It's working quite well and I like the eye tracking that can allow a more precise positioning.
It didn't work well with me being far from the webcam so not sure if it would work on a TV while being seated in a simracing rig, but so far I'm considering buying it

@ObsidianBlk, bad example with Dune as it doesn't actually allow for selfhosted server AFAIK. You need to go through a certified hosting company as the game need a central hub server that can only be hosted by them. So if companies decide that it's not worth offering it anymore it will die if they don't open the central hub server hosting to everyone.
But back to the article, never heard of this game even tho it looks interesting, maybe they didn't had a big marketing budget?

What I find strange is that for Euro/CAD there's only an increase in the yearly subscription and not the monthly one
I stopped paying for Choice a long time ago as it was starting to be less qualitative and a lot of game I already owned were in it. It was nice to build my collection of 50% not played games tho

Does anyone recommend a good workflow for dealing appimage apps in kde?GearLever is a good app that manage AppImages for you. Once installed (available as a Flatpak) when you open an AppImage it will pop up and ask if you want to just launch it or add it to the system. It can also deal with auto updates if the AppImage provides an URL for it

I was looking forward to this demo, really enjoyed Snowrunner and Expeditions (to a lesser extend, but still fun). I gave it a try last night on the deck and this morning before heading to work on the desktop, and yeah it straight up crashed after loading the level. I hope there is a fix before the demo is pulled from the store.
And as BigRob029 said, the previous games are rated Platinium on ProtonDB (and worked flawlessly on both desktop and the deck), so let's hope it's just a small mistake that can quickly be addressed by the devs or Valve (but let's home for the former, Valve shouldn't always be cleaning other's mess)

Monster Hunter Wilds looks unplayable on Steam Deck but good on Desktop Linux

I tried the benchmark to see if I would get the game or not... The game struggled to keep a stable 60fps at 1440p with my Ryzen 5 3600x and 6700xt... On the low preset! Wilds is going to be a pass for me.

How is the game overall for a mostly single player experience? I got hooked on 40K recently and want to dive into the video game universe but will most likely play solo

I hope this leak come true, I want a new Steam controller, so, so much. I hate using the Steamdeck docked with a regular controller, give me some pads please!
